SHould I use iFrame or Javascript for Website Embeds?

​So came across this interesting information whilst been offered the ability to either embed content via iFrame or Javascript, which got me to thinking which is best?

I had heard that iFrame was not good for SEO and had little no effect and in some cases could have a negative affect towards SEO and we all now that Javascript can have the ability to slow a webpage down and offer some technical issues.

So which is best?
